Rolling Stones are dead

Not really, but they might as well be as far as I'm concerned. Not wanting to offend the Ahnuld and his $100,000 box seat holders at the opening in Boston, they didn't do Sweet Neo-Con . However, they are leaving it on the album to maximize sales with the left.

Disgusting. Sweet Neo-Con is not a protest song, it's a love song to the right. F*uck em. I'm not buying the album. As Stewart Nusbaumer said, "How much money is enough?"

On a brighter note, Joan Baez, never one to sell out for money, gave a free concert at Camp Casey to welcome back Cindy Sheehan, who I understand is either there or enroute. It's nice to know there's still some people you count on and it's not over yet, even though the MSM has gone rabid on the peace movement.

You don't strike me a country music lover, but in the same vein as Mick is Garth Brooks. Garth recently signed a contract with Wal-Mart to be the sole distributor of his CDs.

I'm sorry, but Garth came from humble roots himself and I find this alignment with Wal-Mart disgusting. The very communities that tend to listen to country music are the ones that have suffered due to big-box Wal-Mart and their "go sign up for Medicaid and free school lunches" mentality.

Garth is out to pad his wallet without any regard for the people who helped make him rich. He once made the comment on TV that he has more money than he could ever spend in his lifetime, his kid's lifetime, etc. Gee, it would be nice if he would remember the little people he left behind and speak out against corporate greed, slave wages, and inferior benefits.

Oops, I meant to add this:

Consumers can - and should - boycott people like Mick Jagger and Garth Brooks with their wallets. If our cultural icons have lost touch with us, then why should we continue to support them with our dollars?
