Time magazine takes a long hard look at how Bush's crony appointments are pushing the White House agenda and endangering our national security.

How many bullets does it take to kill one Iraqi "insurgent?" Apparently, 250,000.

More photos of Saturday's peace march. Interviews and photos of the marchers from TomDispatch.com.

Jason Miller describes his experience at the peace march and also outlines the framework for a Velvet Revolution whereby "we the people" can take back our government.

The GOP dominated Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to take up the Streamlined Procedures Act of 2005 this week - a transparent attempt to eviscerate the role of the federal courts in ensuring equal justice.

Wasn't the fed response to Rita supposed to be better? FEMA still withholding relief supplies - in Texas.

Meanwhile, they're draining your tax dollars onGulf state reconstruction contracts.

And this just in from the White House: First lady Laura Bush will be participating in the filming of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" tomorrow morning in Biloxi, Miss.

There are some great pictures showing the demonstration at www.thinkprogress.org (sorry, misplaced my HTML bible).

The first picture shows a scene from Fox News that deceptively omitted key streets along the marcher's path. The second photo added in the streets and then it becomes clear that thousands of marchers were spread out on all sides.

Fox (Faux) News really lives up to their name once again. It doesn't really matter though since 100,000+ people protested against the war, but the GOP only managed to find 400 people who still support Bush's misbegotten adventure.

Correction to my comment above: I credited Fox News with the deceptive pictures, but I was wrong. The pictures were taken by Reuters and one was posted on Little Green Footballs by Charles Johnson. He used the picture to argue that the turnout was less than 100,000, but failed to show the picture that actually showed the entire map of the route the marchers followed.

Sorry for the mistake, but I still don't have much respect for the integrity and honesty of Fox News.
