White House privatizes IRS collections

This is digusting. The short version: The White House has no problem with virtually dismantling the IRS department that goes after billionaire tax cheats but is now going to outsource the collection of small tax debts to a handful of their crony capitalists, at a sacrifice of billions in collectable debt.

My post on this at the Detroit News is here.

I heard that on the radio.

Up is truly the new down, is it not?

Sigh.

I'm glad it's getting some exposure. You need a database to keep track of all the outrage in this administration.

Privatizing is smoke and mirrors in my opinion. The GOP decries big government, yet they replace government services with private companies that cost more and deliver less. Either way the government function is being handled. They have not downsized government - they've simply shifted the responsibility to their friends - and the taxpayers get shafted in the process.

Exactly right Kathy. It's so infuriating that they get away with it.
