Porkbuster update
Following up on this story, the block on the porkbuster's bill was a bipartisan effort to avoid acccountabililty. It seems the other hold on the bill was from the Democrat's answer to Ted Stevens, none other than the former king of the pork barrel, West Virginia's Senator Byrd. Proving once again, that incumbency corrupts and no party has a monopoly on greed.

Well...that's no surprise. Say what you will. Nobody has more relentlessly looked out for his consituents than Byrd...well...unless it's Jesse Helms.
LOL Kvatch. Well I guess that's true enough. No doubt why he keeps getting reelected despite the fact he's practically senile now.
if this administration doesn't turn people off of the federal government nothing will.

Lester, there's definitely an anti-incumbent growing in the electorate. You may recall, I predicted this months ago myself. Glad to see people getting on board.
