Have a cold brew

It's International Beer Day and if you're celebrating with a craft beer, thank Jimmy Carter. One of those rare instances when dereg worked for the better for the consumer.

As for me, in light of my present financial state, I'm marking the occassion with a cold PBR. Sure it's a cheap mass produced beer, but I'm told the kids still think it's a cool brew.

Pabst Barf Bucket? Worst beer on the planet. Cat piss brewed in a rusty washtub would be better. Even Budweiser is better!

Why do people look to kids as a fountain of wisdom?

For a cheap beer, it's better than Miller and certainly beats Red White and Blue which is the worst rockgut I've ever had. Think that used to go for about buck and half a six pack.

Bud is better but it's usually about two bucks more for a 12 here so I go for the PBR. Someday when I have a real job again, I'll drink real beer again. ;~)

Saying anything is better than Miller would be heresy in Chicago - at least if you live south of Division Street. But Come on, Miller is much better than Piss Brewed Rotgut and almost anything is better than Budweiser. My German genes are quivering with disgust at the very thought.

My current favorite is Sands, but I suspect that taken out of its Bahamian context, it wouldn't be all that great. Still, in some tiki hut on Taino Beach eating whole fried snapper with sweet potato bread and peas with rice while Marley plays in the background -- priceless.

Used to drink Miller but found the hangover was worse than PBR. I'm more an ale drinker when I'm flush, but Red Stripe and Sol evoke the tropical bliss for me. Neither of which is a particularly good beer either.
