GOPer to retirees: Move to Canada for your health care

Georgia Congressman Rob Woodall is a real Georgia peach. He's had it with whiny voters who expect big gummit to take care of them in their old age. When a constituent at a town hall meeting asked him what she was supposed to do about health insurance because her employer doesn't offer health care benefits into retirement Woodall told her to pay for her own damn health care:
"Hear yourself, ma'am. Hear yourself," Woodall told the woman. "You want the government to take care of you, because your employer decided not to take care of you. My question is, 'When do I decide I'm going to take care of me?'"
And he added if she doesn't like that answer she should move to Canada or some other country with "soshulized" medicine.
"If you want a socialized health care program, there are lots of places to find that," he said. "But, for your children's sake, I beg you: There aren't many places to find the freedom to succeed by the sweat of your brow like we have here.”
Spoken by a guy who has been dining on big government largess for years and will be well taken care of in his retirement with a hefty pension and a gold plated health insurance policy at the taxpayer's expense. Just peachy.

Well at least they're honest. I always said the GOP plan was sorta like the final solution: get all those burdensome old people, disabled people & poor people to just ... go away. Whether it's move to Canada or throw them in jail or whatever, they just want to sweep the evidence that their crackpot economic theories don't work under a giant rug.

But hey one could ask Woodall if we can AT LEAST buy our drugs from Canada. Please? Aw who are we kidding.

Well, like Elvis said - that was just a lie. Actually we haven't led the world as the top country in terms of economic opportunity for a long time, but seriously folks, what she's saying is that he who does not work, can just die and decrease the surplus population. That's a proposition once once denounced as the mark of Scrooge, but now championed by these haters of civilization.

Hobbes told us that what stands between the war of everyone against everyone else, was the social contract, but of course to these sociopathic subhumans, Social contract sounds like Socialism and we know that's just evil, don't we?

These people just don't like the constraints and responsibilities of civilization and have created a Disneyland - or Randland where everyone can be free of it all. And everyone will be a winner, that way, right?

I'm astounded at how brazen they've become about their lifelong desire to destroy the social safety net. They're obviously going all in on it. EVERYTHING hinges on cutting Medicare, every say. I see McConnell says he won't raise the debt ceiling unless they make the cuts.

Assume the wise punditry of the Village have convinced them this is a winning strategy. Can't say I'm unhappy to see it on some level. If they keep it up through the stupid season, 2012 could be a bigger sweep than 08.

Let's hope. Nothing would please me more than a resounding slap-down, but I try never to underestimate the profound ignorance, stupidity and self-destructive spitefulness of the American public.
